Culture Boom
Culture Boom is a two player game where the players try to diffuse a bomb. The bomb can be diffused by learning about the difference between different cultures. This game was created in my first year of game design. The goal of the game was to make gamers more culturally aware.

One player has the computer screen in front of them. The other player has a set of cards with instructions on how to interact with the bomb. The person looking at the bomb can't look at the cards and the card reader can't look at the bomb. Together they must communicate what they see and diffuse the bomb.
The goal of the game
Cultural awareness
The goal of the game is to teach players about the differences in cultures from around the world. A game can be a perfect medium for these kind of learning experiences because it makes learning fun.

My participation
I helped design the different modules of the game. There are a few different modules that each need to function differently depending on the different bombs. The number at the bottom of the bomb decides which culture the players are learning about. In this case a three could be Dutch culture.
